THE SAVAGERY…By Raniya Azad-XI A

Her impudent attitude left her alone in that large   bungalow. The abnormal mist and fog was weird and with its squeaking appearance expressed an incoherent idea. The chain rattling sound made her bones feel cold and paralyzed. Suddenly she experienced an uncanny atmosphere and hid herself under the bed near the open window .The bitterness of cold kept on increasing and it was menacingly dark which created terrible fear in her heart. Suddenly she heard wicked laughers, shrills, deathly cries which created terrible shivers of fear in her. She leaned close to the wall. Suddenly a boneless wrinkled long nailed hand pierced into her throat. She screamed to the core of her voice and another one eyed head came near her and said: “don’t worry Lucy I am there with you and you are not alone”. She tried to take the pierced hand from her throat and due to the force of taking it blood spilt on her face and when she wiped her face and opened her eyes, she realized that it was her mother who was waking her up for school by spraying water which acted as blood in her nightmare. So lazily she woke up and went to do her daily chores.
